Journey of Growth... Step of Faith

God is leading us on a journey to grow us closer together, closer to His own heart, and growth of more people in His family at Fishers of Men Lutheran Church. We will walk this journey together one step of faith at a time as we pray, serve and give to the LORD.

March Update

We continue to be truly blessed, as our Lord is providing!

I am pleased to inform you that we are still on course to expand HIS kingdom (not ours) here in the Sugar Land area. For the first eleven months of the campaign, May - March, we have received 99.7 100% of the entire first year’s pledge amount!

This means that the contributions from those who pledged and those who did not pledge exceeded the first eleven months pledge amount by $59,488!

Total contributions to the building fund during this period were $736,917 which includes the grocery card sales of $6,689. Keep eating and buying your grocery cards!

Additionally, since the pledge amounts are confidential, they have not been included in the quarterly and annual statements, so if you would like information on your pledge amount please see me, contact me at (713) 417-1779, or email AlanG-FOM@ev1.net. I would like to add the following data items for those of you who are interested. In closing, I would like to remind everyone to keep a positive outlook, eyes focused on the cross, for the Lord will provide.

Your fellow brother in Christ,
Alan S. Grieger

February Update

We continue to be truly blessed, as our Lord is providing!

As we begin the new calendar year, we are getting closer to breaking ground on our new multi-purpose facility. As we go though challenges and changes, we need to stay strong in our faith with continual prayer seeking forgiveness and guidance and our eyes fixed on the cross. What better time of the year to remember his grace, but also the burden that our Savior endured for us. With this I am pleased to inform you that we are still on course to expand HIS kingdom (not ours) here in the Sugar Land area.

For the first nine months of the campaign, May – January, we have received 118% of the first year’s pledge amount. This means that the contributions from those who pledged and those who did not pledge exceeded the first nine month’s pledge amount by over $99,978. Total contributions to the building fund during this period were $654,271 which includes the grocery card sales of $6,073. Keep eating and buying your grocery cards!

I would like to add the following data items for those of you who are interested. In closing, I would like to remind everyone to keep a positive outlook, eyes focused on the cross, for the Lord will provide.

This means that the contributions from those who pledged and those who did not pledge exceeded the first eight month’s pledge amount by over $144,000. Total contributions to the building fund during 2007 were $637,210 which includes the grocery card sales of $5,620. Keep eating and buying your grocery cards!

I would like to add the following data items for those of you who are interested. But in closing, I would like to remind everyone to keep a positive outlook, for the Lord will provide.
