Welcome to The Cove! Where our Jr High Students come to be shielded from the waves and tribulations of the World, but are nourished in Christ's love to go and tell the world about his great love and protection!
We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed 2 Corinthians 4:8-9
Every 2nd & 4th Sunday our Jr. High program meets from 5:00-6:30 PM in the Fellowship Chapel (C150). Our next Cove is May 7th! We usually start off with some games, have a snack and then dig into a great Bible Study lead by our wonderful parent volunteers. Cove focuses on building a strong community while strengthening our faith and walk in Jesus!
Confirmation is for our 7th and 8th Grade students! We meet Sunday mornings from 945-1050. It is during this time that we discuss Bible stories and how they relate to Luther's Small Catechism. For more information on the program feel free to contact our Director of Youth Ministry Richard at Richard@Fishersofmen.org
Junior High MIssion Trip
This year we are starting what we hope to be annual tradition! We want to start introducing our students into the mission field earlier. We want them to be able to serve the community they live in at a younger age, so we are offering a mission trip for our Junior Students! We will be staying here in Houston, and working with LINC Houston! It would be over 3 days (most likely a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and come back to Fishers of Men Wednesday Morning), and would consist of our students helping out local congregations, and learning more about all of the different cultures in our very own backyard. Costs and other details will be shared at the information meeting that will be scheduled shortly!
Come Join Us Tuesdays during the Summer for some competition and fellowship as we challenge ourselves in Ultimate Frisbee! Meet up at Colony Bend Elementary 5:00-6:30 P.M.! No need to RSVP just show up! We will be there most Tuesdays in June, July, and August! It's open to all incoming 9th graders to 12th grade! Any questions feel free to contact Richard Crouch at Richard@fishersofmen.org or call 281-242-7711.
