East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry

Thank you for helping feed the children of Fort Bend County!

The Food Pantry is always needing any non-perishable grocery items to help keep up with demand. The list on the left is a guideline for monthly food drive donations.

Paper and plastic grocery bags are also needed all year, so don't throw them away, let us reuse them!
Other special items always needed:

  • Diapers (especially toddler sizes)
  • Toilet paper
  • Sample sizes toothpaste, shampoo, etc.

The total food items donated during March and April was 47,732 (valued at $1 each for the challenge), and the Food Pantry received $62,848.11 in monetary donations for a total of $110,580.11. Several churches, businesses and organizations contributed to the success of this year's challenge. A special "Thank You" to everyone who helped out!

Fish City Grill

Thanks for coming out and supporting East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry by dining at Fish City Grill. We received a check for $697 which is 15% of the total sales for the day. This is an easy and tasty way to raise funds for the Ministry.

Summer Food Needs

During the summer months the children in our community do not have access to school breakfast and lunch programs. To help meet the needs of those we serve the Food Pantry is in need of donations of the following items:

Breakfast Bars, Crackers, Macaroni & Cheese, Canned Fruit, Jell-O Cups, Peanut Butter, Canned Pasta, Jell-O Packages, Pork & Beans, Cookies, Kool-Aid, Pudding Cups

Volunteer Needs

We need your help at the Ministry. We have a need for substitute screeners for the summer on Tuesday, Wednesday pm, Thursday and Friday's. We also need someone to pick up pizzas from Pizza Hut in Missouri City on Monday's at 10 am. If you are interested in helping out East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, please contact Diane Clark at 281-261-4902 or email her at diane@humanneeds.org. We also need someone to scrapbook the on-going activities at EFB. Please contact Connie Esposito at 281-261-4902 or email her at connie@humanneeds.org. Thanks so much and have a blessed day!

Tri-City Churches Resale Shop

The Tri-City Churches Resale Shop is a vital part of the community. All proceeds from the Resale Shop are re-invested into the programs and services provided by East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, Inc. By donating and shopping at the Resale Shop you are helping those in need within our community.

Dropping off donations is extremely easy – just drive thru the gate and we'll unload your vehicle for you. You don't even need to get out of your car! We can also send a truck to pick up your large donations and furniture – no need to wait for a special pick up day! Call us at 281-499-8833 to schedule a pick up. Donations are accepted Monday - Saturday at the Resale Shop conveniently located at 425 Stafford Run, Stafford, TX. All donations are tax deductible.

Fort Bend Lawyers Care

Part of what we do at East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry is to provide the families and individuals we serve with information about other charitable organizations in the community that offer helpful services to those in need. Fort Bend Lawyers Care (FBLC) is one of those organizations. FBLC is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing equal access to justice through volunteer lawyers, and promoting volunteerism in the local legal community. Since 2006 FBLC volunteer lawyers have assisted low-income Fort Bend County residents with a variety of civil legal issues, including wills preparation, divorce/custody, guardianship, adoption, probate, kincare, and bankruptcy and credit issues. And we have a Spanish speaker on staff; se habla espanol!

All pro bono clients must meet income and asset qualifications to be eligible for legal assistance. To apply for pro bono services, simply call 281-239-0015. Once a month volunteer lawyers answer calls from Fort Bend County residents; please see the attached flier for more info. ALL CALLERS get to speak to a licensed, experienced attorney, regardless of income. Absolutely no one is turned away.
