Due to an amazing turnout, we have had to close registration. If you would like to have your child/children put on the waiting list, please send an email to VBS@fishersofmen.org and include the name(s) and age(s) of your child/children.
VBS Crew Leaders Needed!
We are in need of crew leaders to lead small groups of children from station to station during VBS week. Crew leaders are not responsible for teaching at the stations & there will be designated chairs at each station for crew leaders. If you are available, please complete a volunteer registration form at our registration booth at church or register online: www.fishersofmen.org/children

Donation tags from our VBS donation station are now due. If you took a tag from our VBS donation station, please bring the donated item to our donation box as soon as possible so we can inventory what items are still needed. If you were unable to locate the item, feel free to donate the monetary value and we will track down the item to purchase. Additional Items Needed to Borrow for Decorations
This summer's VBS theme is "Shipwrecked" and we are looking for props & decorations that have a beach, nautical or island theme. Specifically, we are looking to borrow these items for VBS week (if you have an item not listed and think we could use it as a prop or for decor, let us know):
orange life vest (1)
life preserver (1)
wood pallets (2 or more)
leaf-shaped craft hole punch (1)
wood crates (2 or more)

Also, we are collecting empty, 1 gallon milk/water jugs for VBS games (need 20 more) and paper grocery bags (need 10 more). Drop them off in the donation box below our VBS palm trees at church.
VBS MIJ (Mindless But Important Jobs) Workshop

Please join us in the Fellowship chapel at 10am on June 19th. Anyone is welcome to join us as we prep materials for VBS stations. A great time for fellowship and fun!

Bible Study Updates
Summer Women's Bible Study
Kathi Lerch will be teaching a summer Women’s Bible study called Prophets, Priests and Kings at 9:15 a.m. The class will meet upstairs in room A209 The class will not meet July 4th or July 18th. Please join us!
Regular Women’s Wednesday Bible Study is on summer break until September 5, 2018.

Mission of Christ Network
Jon & Dora Braun
Those of you who were fortunate enough to hear Jon & Dora Braun speak Last Sunday about their life in Indonesia as missionaries heard about how they are spreading the Gospel one family at a time. They work with the Mission of Christ network. Mission of Christ Network is a Christian outreach organization that enables lay workers to effectively work in God’s mission internationally. Individuals trained, sent and supported by MCN discover their place as God’s instruments of witness and love at home and abroad. Summer Sunday School
Children's Sunday School will continue during the summer! Starting June 3:
- children completing Kindergarten through 4th grade will be learning about the Bible, making decisions, and about why we go to church.
- children ages 2 years old through those completing Pre-K will be introduced to Sunday School through Bible stories and activities geared just for them.
- children completing 5th & 6th grade will be joining the youth upstairs, meeting in the Youth Room.
Please note throughout the summer, Children's Church will not be offered during the 11:00 service. There will be children's worksheets available at the Kids Corner in the foyer, as well as age-specific activity boxes for children to use during the service.

High School Mission Trip
July 9 - July 14 LOCATION: Salem Lutheran Church, Tomball
July 9th-14th our incoming 9th graders to graduating 12th graders will be traveling to the north side of Houston to help people who are still struggling with the aftereffects of Hurricane Harvey. Junior High Mission Trip
July 29 - August 1 LOCATION: LINC Houston
July 29-August 1 our incoming 6th graders-our incoming 8th graders will be traveling down to LINC Houston to work with in our community through service projects and outright fun! Come to Dickinson Elementary (Greatwood) on all Tuesdays in June, July, and August starting June 5! We will be playing Ultimate Frisbee from 5 - 6:30 pm. Open to all 9 - 12 graders. No need to sign up - Just show up and bring friends!
Student Leadership Team
We are looking to start a Student Leadership Team here in Fishers Student Ministries, and would love to have your student involved in it. It is open to all incoming 9th grade students to 12th grade students. It will allow your student the opportunity to take ownership of their group, and influence what we do and learn about. Now there will be time commitment involved, so take that into consideration. Mention it to your student and see if it is something they might be interested in, and we will get the application and other information out to them. We will also be following up with deadlines for the application to be turned in and other meeting dates. :)
